Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling
- Assist customers with product inquiries, product demos, and upselling to maximize sales opportunities
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store is clean, tidy, and well-merchandised
- Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock, assisting with stocking tasks, and participating in inventory counts
- Handle retail math calculations for transactions, refunds, and pricing adjustments with accuracy
- Maintain professional phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and cash register operations in a retail or grocery store setting
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail environment
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for sales transactions and inventory management
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and grocery store operations
