Serve as point of contact for employees and managers on workplace concerns, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and conflict resolution in a fair and consistent manner.
Support and advise managers on handling employee performance issues, corrective actions, and disciplinary processes to ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
Manage leave of absence programs (FMLA, CFRA, ADA, PDL, personal leave, and workers’ compensation), partnering with employees and leaders to ensure smooth administration and supportive communication.
Conduct workplace investigations related to employee complaints, misconduct, harassment, and policy violations, documenting findings and recommending appropriate actions.
Monitor changes in employment law and provide recommendations to update policies, handbooks, and practices to ensure compliance and reduce risk.
Partner with HR leadership to develop and implement employee relations strategies that promote engagement, retention, and a positive workplace culture.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, supporting compliance audits and reporting requirements.
Provide HR data and analytics (e.g., turnover, ER case trends, retention drivers) to leadership with insights for decision-making.
Support broader HR functions including onboarding, training, performance management, and policy rollouts with an ER perspective.
Act as a trusted advisor to employees, promoting open communication, fairness, and alignment with company values.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3–5 years of progressive HR experience with a strong focus on benefits administration, leave management, HR operations, and compensation analytics.
- Knowledge of federal and state leave regulations (FMLA, CFRA, ADA, PDL).
- Experience with HRIS and benefits platforms (e.g., ADP, Workday, Paylocity, SAP, Paychex).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and present findings clearly to leadership.
