Newcomer Supply is a medical supply company based in Waunakee, WI. We manufacture and distribute products for histology and anatomic pathology laboratories throughout the country. Newcomer Supply is looking for our next full-time Histology Technician to be a part of a dedicated team of talented, detail-oriented, laboratory technicians. This is a great opportunity for both recent graduates and experienced technicians. This position requires a candidate with a proven work history that demonstrates a high level of detail awareness, work task efficiency, accuracy, and reliability. We are a fun and hard-working team. This position is responsible for accurately sectioning and staining control slides in a production histology laboratory.
Job Type:
· Full Time, 40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, day shift.
Responsibilities:
· Microtomy, cutting tissue sections to laboratory quality and efficiency standards.
· Embedding tissue in paraffin blocks.
· Coverslipping.
· Manual special staining.
· Maintaining documents and slide organization.
· Follow established procedures.

Education - Experience:
· Associate degree from an accredited college or university preferred, not required.
· One year of laboratory experience is preferred, not required.
Physical Requirements:
· Work will require sitting for much of the day alternating with occasional standing tasks. Requires manual dexterity enough to manipulate and inspect product.
· Excellent handwriting.
