Position Overview
Individual is a key member of the Indianapolis Finance team in Lebanon, IN. Working with multiple departments including (but not limited to) operations, project teams, commercial and business development. Individual who independently manages themselves and their assigned responsibilities. Individual must be an initiative-taker who possesses excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently. The Individual will provide analysis and management of revenues and costs. They will assist in the maximization of profitability through the outlined responsibilities and tasks.

Position plays a key role in the Finance functions through an attitude of continues and improvement and collaboration with operations. As such is expected to help maintain a professional culture in line with the company's values and ensure that a positive attitude is embedded within the team on site. The position is part of the Indianapolis finance team and reports to the Indianapolis Site Controller.

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning and control cycle (AOP, monthly reporting, forecast).
• Aid in timely submission and coordination of reporting packages.
• Identify and work with operations to promote improvement ideas for cost reduction and automation of processes.
• Develop resources within the NewCold organization to gain financial understanding and resources for future growth.
• Gain a comprehensive systems and process understanding.
• Encourage and contribute to a cost-conscious culture.
• Focus on achieving elevated levels of customer service for internal and external customers.
• Assist in maintenance and creation of strong internal controls.
• Effective communication which addresses finance needs and deadlines in advance.
• Working with outside service providers (Accounting, Tax, Benefits, etc.) to ensure compliance and deadlines are met.
• Support timely adherence to monthly and annual reporting requirements.

Core Tasks

• Supporting most aspects of accounting management.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and other required reporting.
• Aids in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices.
• Manage journal entries, invoices etc. and reconcile accounts for all closing periods.
• Complete agreed internal reporting and communication as required.
• Assisting with timely and accurate completion of weekly cash flow projections.
• Assisting in the annual budget completion with Finance and Operations.
• Supports the shared service center regarding recurring accounting transactions and closing process.
• Participate in preparation for the annual audit.
• Help in development of reports for management or regulatory bodies.
• Review the company's accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances.
• Utilize accounting IT system to facilitate processes and maintain records.
• Understanding of data analysis and forecasting.
• Working knowledge of MS Office (especially excel) and accounting software (e.g., SAP).
• Well-organized with ability to prioritize.
• Exceptional communication and people skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Reviews accounting records for accuracy.
• Works with outside finance service providers related to local, regional, and national compliance and deadlines.

Additional Tasks

• Assisting the operation as required by the site.
• Support business initiatives in but not limited to Business Development as and when required.
• Continually look to opportunities for improvement.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Experience Requirements

• 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related field.

Educational Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or Finance or related field preferred.
