The Corporate Controller position heads a three-person accounting team (Controller and two Staff Accountants) and reports to the company’s CFO & Executive Chairman. This role involves a wide variety of hands-on accounting and reporting responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision
- Supervise two Staff Accountants.
- Monitor daily cash balances and banking transactions.
- Initiate weekly ACH transactions for each individual franchisee based on their sales reporting.
- Initiate the billing of various outside suppliers monthly for marketing allowances based on product usages.
- Data entries for and processing of corporate-level payables and corporate payroll (for approximately 20 employees).
- Supervise the preparation of monthly P&L’s for all 10 company restaurant operations.
- Work with the CFO on quarterly financial statements required for public reporting purposes.
- Serve as the primary source with the company’s independent auditors for their in-depth audit review requests.
- Headquarters located in a multi-use office building on the northeast side of Indianapolis with easy highway access and plenty of parking.
- Approximately 12 employees in the corporate headquarters.
- Entrepreneurial and hands-on environment where all staff wear many hats.
- Every employee has a private office with windows.

- Experience working with small or mid-sized companies, with multi-unit or multi-company situations.
- Retail and/or hospitality industry experience is a plus.
- Public company experience is a plus but not required.
