Housekeeping/Laundry Aide - Job Description
This position can be full-time or part-time
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. High school graduate or G.E.D. preferred.
2. Good physical and mental health.
3. Ability to work well with other personnel.
4. Willingness to advance in learning and skills.
5. Dependable.
6. Good attendance.
Job Description:
1. Attend facility in-services. Attendance is required for mandatory in-services.
2. Observes all safety and infection control policies and procedures.
3. Accepts variable work hours and assignments which will best meet the needs of the facility.
4. Fulfills all other routine or special assignments as directed by the Environmental Supervisor and/or Administrator in order to meet federal, state and local regulations, as well as the objectives of the facility.
5. Observes and Adheres to all Environmental policies and procedures.
6. Keeps equipment, est. in good working order at all times and immediately reports any equipment not in proper working order.
7. Immediately reports all safety violations to supervisor and/ or Administration.
8. Follows cleaning schedules as posted.
9. Keeps all equipment and cleaning supplies not in use locked in janitor closet.
10. Never leaves cleaning agents in residents’ room or in hallway. Keeps cart locked when unattended.
11. Plans and organizes cleaning schedule so as not to interfere with resident’s daily routine.
12. Assists in the event of an emergency.
ALL housekeepers are expected to observe all safety practices and housekeeping policies and procedures while on duty. All housekeepers will be available to work any shift and perform other duties in order to provide continuity of care and meet appropriate regulations
