Qualifications:
1. Must possess and maintain proper certification as established by State law and the Department of Education
2. Must be aware of current trends and developments in education.
3. Must possess related training and/or experience.
Reports to: Superintendent
Supervises: All students and staff assigned to his/her building.
Start Date: July 20, 2026
Contract: 210 Days
The Principal shall:
1. Interpret, enforce, and develop regulations that are in agreement with Board Policies, the School Handbook and State/Federal law.
2. Provide leadership in the recruitment of staff.
3. Provide leadership for and share responsibility for the development and implementation of staff in-service programs.
4. Promote staff professional growth, cooperation, and self-development.
5. Supervise and evaluate staff performance.
6. Administer the master agreements in his/her assigned building.
7. Develop, maintain, evaluate, implement, and enhance curricular and extracurricular programs.
8. Provide leadership for the planning, development and implementation of the curriculum.
9. Use a systematic plan of checks and balances when preparing and supervising the building’s budget.
10. Foster good school-community relations by keeping the community aware and responsive.
11. Plan, organize, and supervise recognition programs for school activities.
12. Provide educational and administrative leadership in making and carrying out decisions for the building.
