What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRINCIPAL - UNIONTOWN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL position at Uniontown Elementary School?
Uniontown Elementary School is seeking a highly-effective, qualified, & proven leader to serve as Principal beginning with the 2026-27 school year. The position requires active administrative certification or Statement of Eligibility (SOE) for Instructional Leadership - School Principal issued by the Kentucky Education Professional Standards Board (EPSB).
In addition, the preferred applicant will have successful, progressive, and innovative administrative experience, preferably at the middle school level. The preferred applicant will also demonstrate the ability to proactively support and lead faculty and staff in sound instructional practices, effective communication/interaction skills, and embrace a continuous growth/improvement mindset. The candidate will strive to "Be Brave. Learn. Lead. Succeed." for each employee & student at UES.
Applicants must provide qualifying credentials:
- Official Transcripts and the applicable EPSB certification:
- Teaching Certificate, or
- Statement of Eligibility,
- Other Qualifying Certification Credentials
- Effective 4/4/2018, All applicants must present a letter from the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) stating that the applicant has no findings of substantiated child abuse or neglect.
