What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President of Admissions position at NEWBERRY COLLEGE?
The Vice President (VP) for Admissions is a senior executive at a responsible for the strategic oversight, recruitment policies, and overall enrollment data required to attract students who will retain. This executive aligns institutional financial goals and academic standards with data-driven recruitment pipelines. This position will report directly to the President.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM): Designing multi-year recruitment maps to hit class size targets, meet diversity initiatives, and fulfill net tuition revenue goals.
- Direct Oversight for Admissions Team hiring, training, managing, reviewing and assessing performance
- Data & Predictive Modeling: Analyzing demographic trends, historical yield data, and economic factors to forecast future enrollment behaviors.
- Financial Aid Optimization: Collaborating closely with student financial services to leverage institutional aid, merit scholarships, and grants to boost student yield.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Working alongside marketing and communications and outside agency to develop bold, targeted recruitment campaigns across digital and traditional media. Securing faculty participation in recruiting.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all recruitment, international admissions, and financial practices adhere to federal, state, and accreditation standards (such as Title IV regulations).
Bachelor's degree is required; Must have Director’s level experience or above in recruiting to a liberal arts college. Familiarity with Slate Software. Must relocate to Newberry County, Newberry, South Carolina.
