JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision and direction of the Summer School Administration and Summer School Coordinator, assist staff in delivering culturally responsive learning experiences for students. Build meaningful relationships and support skill development in academic, social, self-help, and motor areas. Maintain accurate educational records, serve as a liaison with parents, support students’ personal needs, and provide appropriate supervision as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficient in computer use, with strong language arts and math skills. Demonstrates the ability to work effectively with a diverse population of students and parents, maintain accurate records, and commit to attending all required staff training, in-service meetings, and scheduled employment dates.
Education: Two years of college, associate's degree or passing score on a para-professional exam in reading, writing and math as required by federal law.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to read English and other designated languages as required, and comprehend curriculum materials through grade 12. Ability to write clear and concise communications in English and other languages as required.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations with a high degree of accuracy.

Ability to work collaboratively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, supervisor(s), staff, students, parents and community.

Physical Demands:

Salary Range 9 of the 2025-26 Classified Wage Schedule $19.87 - $24.43 per hour.
