Job Summary
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) assesses, diagnoses, and treats individuals with speech, language, communication, voice, fluency, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. SLPs develop individualized treatment plans, provide therapy services, monitor progress, maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate with families, educators, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to support communication and functional independence. In school settings, SLPs also participate in IEP meetings and help students improve communication skills necessary for academic and social success.
