The Home Hospital Teacher provides individualized academic instruction to students who are temporarily unable to attend school due to medical, physical, or emotional health conditions. Under the direction of the site administrator and in collaboration with classroom teachers, the Home Hospital Teacher ensures continuity of instruction aligned to district curriculum and state standards. This position requires the ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse student needs, maintain consistent communication with families and school staff, and monitor student progress during the period of medical leave. Instruction may take place in the student’s home, hospital, or other approved location. The ideal candidate demonstrates flexibility, strong organizational skills, compassion, and the ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with school teams. A valid teaching credential and knowledge of grade-level standards are required.
