Job Summary
Every Weekend - 6:30am-2:30pm or 2:30pm-10:30pm
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping/Laundry Aide to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents and staff. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to sanitation standards and environmental services, with experience in janitorial and custodial roles within healthcare or hospitality settings. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas are hygienic, well-organized, and compliant with safety regulations, contributing to the overall quality of life for our residents.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and hallways using appropriate cleaning agents and techniques.
- Handle laundry services efficiently, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and clothing.
- Follow established sanitation protocols to prevent the spread of infections and maintain compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through proper floor care procedures such as mopping, buffing, or stripping as required for different surfaces.
- Restock supplies in resident rooms and common areas to ensure availability of necessary cleaning products and linens.
- Assist in environmental services tasks such as waste disposal and ensuring proper sanitation practices are followed throughout the facility.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines related to chemical handling, equipment use, and infection control measures.
- Collaborate with other staff members to uphold high standards of cleanliness while fostering a positive team environment.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in custodial work, janitorial services, or environmental services within healthcare or hospitality environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to workplace safety and chemical handling is essential.
- Experience with commercial cleaning techniques and floor care methods is preferred.
- Strong understanding of sanitation practices necessary for maintaining hygiene standards in healthcare or residential settings.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure thorough cleaning routines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following established protocols.
