Position: 6th Grade Social Studies at Heritage Middle School Requested by:Kyle WaltersApproved by: Barbara Quackenbush Qualifications/Requirements: Applicant must: hold a valid Ohio Middle Childhood 4-9 License – Social Studies (any combination with Science, Language Arts, Math) or Elementary K/1-8 Certificate be aware of the social and emotional needs of each individual student be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the middle school student use data to drive instruction incorporate technology into the classroom demonstrate skill in effective classroom management and student engagement be willing to teach intervention skills outside of Social Studies must be able to work on a team be willing to promote activities to build positive self-esteem in middle school students be committed to providing an educational environment that nurtures academic and personal growth of students be interested in working with extra-curricular activities that exist in a middle school have experience with team teaching or knowledge of team teaching activities be acceptable to the Building Principal and Assistant Superintendent of Certificated/Licensed Personnel Effective Starting Date: 2026-2027 school year
