What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Associate Memory Care position at NewAldaya Lifescapes?
The Direct Support Associate primary purpose is to lead residents in group or individual leisure interests and activities. This is a Part time opening working 9a to 1pm shift Thursdays, Fridays and every other Saturday/Sunday weekend on.
Direct Support Associate Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting residents to engage in enriching, purposeful activities
- Providing individual interventions for residents who are showing signs of anxiety or distress
- Assist nursing and direct care staff in tending to the overall needs of the unit.
- Reports directly to the Director of Recreational Therapy to assure that our residents are receiving individualized, person-centered care while enhancing their daily lives in a homelike environment.
