Overview:
- Seeking an experienced Epic Revenue Cycle Project Manager to support a large-scale Epic HB/PB implementation through the July 2027 go-live.
- The ideal candidate will possess a blend of operational revenue cycle knowledge, Epic application experience, and project leadership skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional teams through all phases of an enterprise Epic deployment.
Required Qualifications
- Current Epic certification in a Revenue Cycle application (PB, HB, Claims, Resolute, or related Epic Revenue Cycle certification)
- 5 years of Epic implementation experience within healthcare organizations
- Proven experience serving as a Project Manager, Program Manager, Revenue Cycle Manager, or Workstream Lead on Epic implementations
- Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle operations, including patient access, charge capture, billing, claims management, reimbursement, and revenue integrity processes
- Experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale Epic implementations, upgrades, or optimization initiatives
- Strong knowledge of Epic implementation methodologies, testing processes, change management, and go-live planning
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, facilitation, and communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with executive leadership, operational teams, and technical resources
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PMI-ACP, or other project management certification
- Experience supporting multi-hospital or large integrated delivery network (IDN) Epic implementations
- Previous experience leading enterprise-wide Revenue Cycle transformation initiatives
- Strong background in workflow redesign, revenue optimization, and operational process improvement
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Revenue Cycle workstreams throughout the Epic implementation lifecycle, including planning, design, build oversight, testing, training, go-live, and stabilization activities
- Serve as the primary liaison between revenue cycle leadership, operational stakeholders, Epic application teams, consultants, and technical resources
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, risks, dependencies, and deliverables related to Revenue Cycle initiatives
- Coordinate and oversee Epic Revenue Cycle application teams including Professional Billing (PB), Hospital Billing (HB)
- Facilitate design sessions and workflow reviews to ensure operational requirements are aligned with Epic best practices
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and barriers, and proactively develop mitigation strategies
- Lead governance meetings, status reporting, issue tracking, and executive communications
- Ensure successful completion of integrated testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), cutover planning, go-live readiness, and stabilization activities
- Collaborate with operational leaders to drive workflow optimization, revenue integrity improvements, and organizational change management efforts
- Support resource planning, stakeholder engagement, and vendor coordination throughout the implementation
- Provide guidance and mentorship to analysts, team leads, and operational stakeholders
- Ensure project milestones, quality standards, and implementation objectives are achieved on schedule and within scope
