What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Engineer position at New York Technology Partners?
We’re working with a precision manufacturer in the Buffalo area where engineering doesn’t stop at design. This Electrical Engineer role is responsible for developing analog and digital electronic products used in industrial and aerospace applications, with ownership spanning concept, prototyping, testing, and production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop analog and digital electronic PCB assemblies for sensor-based and embedded products
- Perform schematic capture, PCB layout, and routing using tools such as OrCAD, Altium, or similar
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to implement new or modified designs into production
- Generate and maintain PCB assembly drawings and Bills of Material (BOMs) within ERP systems
- Support development of electronic test and calibration equipment
- Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electronic designs
- Prepare engineering documentation including test reports, technical recommendations, and procedures
- Provide technical support to production and assembly teams as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- One to five years of experience in electrical or electronics engineering
- Experience with PCB design, including schematic capture and layout
- Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles
- Experience supporting products from design through production
- Familiarity with PCB manufacturing and assembly processes
- Experience with OrCAD or similar electronic design software preferred
- Hands-on experience with soldering, rework, and lab equipment such as oscilloscopes is a plus
- Exposure to industrial, aerospace, or other regulated environments is a plus
Salary : $70,000 - $110,000
