Position Description:
The Bainbridge-Guilford School Board is seeking an educational leader of the highest professional and personal integrity with the following profile: We are looking for a superintendent who is:
- Experienced in leading complex, multi-faceted organizations, including district-wide operations and administrative teams.
- A visible, transparent, and approachable individual, who is creative and possesses the ability to inspire, lead, motivate, and mentor staff to achieve excellence;
- A personable school district leader who is able to build trust and understanding with staff, parents, students, the school board, and the community at large;
- An experienced leader and negotiator who can demonstrate fiscal responsibility;
- An effective communicator who listens to and respects the ideas of others, and is able to articulate the district’s goals, successes, and challenges;
- And an educational leader who can envision our school district for the future. Including the implementation of Portrait of a Graduate and collaborating with local districts on regionalization.
Qualifications:
Mr. Michael Rullo, District Superintendent of the Sole Supervisory District of Delaware-Chenango-Madison-Otsego Counties, will assist the Bainbridge-Guilford CSD Board of Education in the selection process. The initial search for candidates will be closed; however, finalists will be expected to provide a community presentation. The Board of Education will make the final decision as to the successful candidate. Applicants are not to contact members of the Board of Education. The new Superintendent is expected to begin employment on January 1, 2027, or a mutually acceptable date.
