Join the Central New York Psychiatric Center Nursing Team


Central New York Psychiatric Center (CNYPC) has immediate job opportunities for Registered Nurses (RN), previous psychiatric experience is not required. Positions are available for evening shifts which include working every other weekend. This position is at Central New York Psychiatric Center's Sing Sing satellite unit on the grounds of Sing Sing Correctional Facility in Westchester County.


Nurses at CNYPC are vital members of a multi-disciplinary treatment team focused on providing compassionate care through patient-centered and recovery-focused mental health services to individuals with serious mental illness including:

  • Coordinating and providing nursing care
  • Conducting nursing assessments
  • Preparing, implementing, and modifying nursing care plans
  • Providing health teaching, counseling, and education to individuals and families
  • Implementing infection control protocols and procedures
  • Observing and recording individuals symptoms and care; reporting responses to medications or changes in health


CNYPC, a Joint Commission-accredited Office of Mental Health (OMH) facility, provides inpatient and outpatient treatment and rehabilitation to adults who have been diagnosed with serious mental illness, residential and community support programs to children and adolescents diagnosed with serious emotional disturbances, and inpatient treatment to individuals who are currently involved with the Criminal Justice System. RPC is committed to supporting underserved individuals, organizations, and communities along with activities and initiatives to reduce disparities in access, quality, and treatment for underserved populations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Registered Nurse 1 Psychiatric

NYS License and current registration to practice as a professional nurse.
