Central New York Psychiatric Center- Clinton Satellite Unit is recruiting a Nurse Practitioner Psychiatry to provide patient-centered and recovery-oriented behavioral health services to individuals with mental illness. Candidates from outside or within State Service may be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement - Statewide (NY HELPS) program as a Nurse Practitioner Psychiatry if they have certification and current registration as a Nurse Practitioner in the Psychiatry specialty practice area by the New York State Education Department.
OR
Candidates from within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

- Establishing individual goals and treatment objectives.
- Prescribing medications and treatments, monitoring impact, and modifying as needed.
- Maintaining medical records and documentation.

If you are appointed and you lose the ability to bill through Medicare and Medicaid, you may be terminated from your employment.
- License and Certification: Loss of license or certification to practice in New York State may result in removal from your position.
