What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Technology Specialist 3 (Programming) position at New York State Insurance Fund (NYSIF)?
This position is within the Change and Configuration Management (CCM) Team. Support the (in-house and 3rd party) software code configurations/implementations. Support the database code review and deployments process. Work with upper-level staff to develop/maintain procedures and standards for existing processes. Complete duties, assignments, and other tasks in a timely, professional, and accurate manner. Fulfill user requirements, resolve incidents, and meet operational needs. Work with ITS teams to enhance and automate the service management experience to develop clearly defined business requirements. Participate in the technical evaluation of new technologies. Identify opportunities to automate processing to reduce manual efforts. Troubleshoot and research configuration/deployment issues. Identify and support areas for automation using ServiceNow, Ansible, and other scripting Languages. Reachable on current Civil Service eligible list for this title; OR One year of permanent, competitive class service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.
