Duties Description
Performs simple policy research including identifying stakeholder positions and data gathering. Assists in project development, implementation and oversight. This can include drafting, editing and developing proposals to address new policy initiatives or reassessing existing policies. Assists in the creation of documents for public dissemination including FAQs, Fact Sheets, or other reference materials as part of the policy or legislative implementation process. Reviews and summarizes information or written comments obtained through qualitative data gathering. Stays aware of state and national labor trends; monitors national, state, and local laws related to labor, employment, and economic issues; tracks legislation on behalf of division. Provides administrative assistance and policy support activities for assigned programs/units under the supervision of a higher level Policy Analyst or higher professional title.

Minimum Qualifications
Must be a student currently enrolled in upcoming/current college courses.
Preferred Skill Sets
Microsoft Office Suite and strong reading and writing skills.
