Duties Description
An intern in the DEWS Customer Engagement Unit will assist with organizing and delivering virtual workshops, providing customer service support, and handling related administrative tasks. This role offers exposure to workforce development operations, digital communications, and event facilitation.
Type Of Work, Daily Tasks, Assignments & Projects
Support virtual workshops by assisting presenters, managing chat questions, posting relevant links, and ensuring sessions run smoothly.
Schedule Zoom workshops and send Outlook invitations to moderators and presenters. Help maintain shared mailboxes, send follow-up emails, and respond to participant inquiries.
Compile weekly attendance data and aid in creating monthly workshop calendars.
Prepare workshop materials and reports with accuracy and timeliness.
Assist in developing and updating communication templates and workshop documentation.
Contribute to special projects and employment initiatives as assigned.
Learning Objectives

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Be actively enrolled in a New York State college, university, or graduate
- program, or be a resident of New York State, attending a college, university or graduate program outside of New York State*
- Have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year college or university (completion of one year's worth of academic credits over a longer period may qualify part-time students for participation in the program), or be a currently enrolled graduate student or accepted in a graduate degree program
- Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0, or the letter grade equivalent
