The incumbent will provide entry-level administrative support within the Wadsworth Center's New Scotland Avenue (NSA) Administration office. NSA provides support to three divisions with over 400 staff, volunteers, and students at four locations. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: perform routine processing activities, including checking forms for completeness, updating Wadsworth Center directory and organizational charts; answer and refer telephone calls; assist with scheduling appointments and meetings, both virtual and in person, using technology such as WebEX and Microsoft Teams as needed; maintain electronic filing and storage; operate office equipment such as printers, scanners, and copiers, arranging for repairs as needed; update tracking systems and distribute incoming mail; prepare correspondence, documents and spreadsheets using various software programs; maintain supplies and equipment inventory; special projects, and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Permanent Transfer Candidates: Current New York State employee with permanent or contingent permanent, competitive status as an Office Assistant 1, Grade 6, OR New York State employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent permanent, competitive service in a title at or above Grade 4, and deemed eligible for transfer to Office Assistant 1, Grade 6, under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
NY HELPS: There are no minimum education or experience requirements for this title.
Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate must be able to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced office environment, have good organizational skills, attention to detail, and have good written/verbal communication skills. Experience with managing calendars and booking meetings and appointments. The preferred candidate will also have experience using the following computer programs: Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams; Visio, Adobe Pro, SharePoint, and WebEx.
