Location: District Office (2 East 2nd St. Suite 320, Jamestown, NY)
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized District Office Director to join Assemblyman Andrew Molitor’s team. The District Office Director will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Assemblyman's district office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides consultation and guidance to district office staff in delivering constituent services and addressing other issues of concern.
- Manages and directs activities of staff in the district office.
- Coordinates the Member's activities with constituent, community and interest groups requesting meetings and event representation.
- Acts as Member's principal liaison responding to office visits and telephone inquiries from constituents and various interest groups.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, or related field (alternatively, requisite work experience is required).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Experience in community outreach.
- Knowledge of local government and politics.
- Must be able to work in the Member's district office.
Please note this is a full-time job. Normal workday hours are 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday, however, longer hours may be required at times.
