Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in various accounting software. The Accounts Receivable will play a crucial role in the financial health of our organization by supporting the revenue cycle management process.
Responsibilities
- Process and record all incoming payments accurately and timely.
- Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Manage accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on outstanding invoices.
- Collaborate with the sales team to resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations in all financial reporting.
- Conduct credit analysis for new customers and monitor existing customer credit limits.
- Assist with journal entries, debits & credits, and double entry bookkeeping.
- Provide exceptional customer service through effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Support medical billing processes including CPT coding and ICD-10 as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in accounts receivable or related financial roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with financial concepts, corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, or governmental accounting is a plus.
- Proficiency in financial software applications; experience with Quicken or other accounting software is desirable.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail; 10 key typing proficiency is essential.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and revenue cycle management is beneficial.
- Excellent math skills and ability to analyze financial data effectively.
