What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Coordinator (MHR - Temp Position) position at New York Foundation for Senior Citizens, Inc.?
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
General Duties:
- Receive incoming calls from the public answering inquiries about program eligibility, services provided, and alert the Program Director of crisis scenarios for immediate follow-up
- Mail, fax or email applications to those interested in becoming a client. Once received submit to the Program Director for review and approval. If additional information is needed from the applicant the Program Coordinator will follow up with the applicant to obtain it
- Conduct home visits to client homes and assist with information & referrals as needed
- Coordinate the 4 Repair Technician's schedules with clients for home safety assessments and repairs
- Gather completed work orders from the repairmen & schedule follow up visits if needed with clients to complete additional repairs
- Assist the Program Director with community outreach
- Compile paperwork necessary for the Program Director to complete the Minor Home Repairs Program's statistical information and travel reimbursement requests for the Repair Technician's
- Assist with other tasks as requested by the Program Director or Director of Programs to support the functioning of the Minor Home Repairs Program
