TITLE: Program Coordinator, Edie Windsor SAGE CenterSAGE is the world’s largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBTQ ) older adults. Founded in 1978 and headquartered in New York City, SAGE is a national organization that offers supportive services and consumer resources for LGBTQ older adults and their caregivers, advocates for public policy changes that address the needs of LGBTQ older people, and provides cultural competency training for aging providers and LGBTQ organizations, largely through its National Resource Center on LGBTQ Aging and its growing social enterprise SAGECare. Summary:The primary function of the Program Coordinator for Arts & Culture is to create, plan, implement, and manage arts and culture, along with women’s programming, for LGBTQ older adults at the Edie Windsor SAGE Center. They will collaborate with the Program Coordinator for Health & Wellness, to create innovative special programs and events. They should have a strong passion for, and considerable experience working with aging and/or LGBTQ communities and should ideally have some experience in programmatic design and implementation. They must be able to effectively engage and work with LGBTQ older adults, community partners, and other departments at SAGE. This role reports directly to the Director of the Edie Windsor SAGE Center.Responsibilities: While no one person embodies all the qualities outlined below, the ideal candidate will possess many of the following professional and personal abilities, attributes, and experiences.
