Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Restaurant Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation and safety of our 7 restaurant facilities. This role involves performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient environment for staff and guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance skills, with experience in residential painting, welding, and supervising maintenance activities. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interpret schematics are essential for success in this position.
Duties
- Conduct regular inspections of restaurant equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and structural components to identify potential issues.
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on kitchen appliances, HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing fixtures, and other facility equipment.
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to diagnose problems accurately.
- Lead maintenance projects including residential painting, electrical troubleshooting, and general facilities upkeep.
- Supervise maintenance staff or contractors as needed to ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using CMMS or other documentation methods.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations to promote a safe working environment for all staff members.
- Assist with training team members on proper maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to internal requests for repairs or assistance.
- Take care of internal Maintenance list.
- Repair various coffee and bagel equipment and other small equipment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within a restaurant or manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in welding, electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with residential painting techniques is a plus.
- Ability to operate tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment safely.
- Supervising experience is desirable for leadership responsibilities within the maintenance team.
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective reporting and coordination with team members.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to perform electrical work and mechanical repairs efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment requiring multitasking skills.
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
