Essential Functions

• Basic disassembly, washing, and assembly of parts.
• Identify serviceable vs. non serviceable parts.
• Operation of semi-automatic equipment i.e. pedestal buffers, hand buffers, wash machines, ultra-sonic washers.
• Handle parts, tools in a safe manner.
• Proper use of power and manual tools. i.e. impact wrenches, drills, EZ Outs, hand tools.
• Understand and comply with all quality and safety rules, guidelines, policies and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

The employee will be exposed to shop floor conditions, i.e. noise, heat, cold, dust/dirt etc. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Required Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

The anticipated wage scale for candidates who work in Springfield, MO is $19.00 per hour. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry and education. New York Air Brake is a multi-state employer, and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations. Provided they meet all eligibility requirements under the applicable plan documents, employees (and their eligible dependents) will be eligible to enroll in group healthcare plans that offer medical, dental, vision, and basic life and disability insurance. Employees also will be able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive 80 hours of vacation leave. Employees will also enjoy 10 paid holidays, and 2 personal holidays throughout the calendar year, subject to relevant terms outlined in the employee handbook. 6 weeks of paid parental leave will also be available for use.
