Summary/Objective
2nd Shift: 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM Monday-Friday
This position requires performing routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes for passenger rail car parts in a manual manufacturing assembly line environment. The candidate works in a team environment participating in continuous improvement activities, as well as. Uses pneumatic tools, basic hand tools, and power tools (motorized drill, rivet gun, etc.). The candidate is required to perform versatile duties and is able to organize the areas around their own work place in a self-sufficient manner, within the product group.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

The employee will be exposed to shop floor conditions, i.e. noise, heat, cold, dust/dirt etc. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools and reach with hands and arms.

- Manufactures quality parts, following specific work instructions
- Provides verbal and written status of manufacturing progress
- Applies and handles sealants and adhesives
- Performs acceptance test procedures utilizing specific test equipment
- May train others in manufacturing methods.
- Keeps assigned areas organized and clean per set principles
- Performs other duties as assigned.
