Job Description

Residential Construction Superintendent is a full-time, exempt position that oversees the operations of a construction site, from planning to completion. The duties of a construction superintendent will vary, however, they can expect to be responsible for daily scheduling, supervising all activities and tasks, and ensuring the safety and compliance of the site.

  • Meet with building owners/ tenants to discuss build-out specifications and improvements.
  • Create estimates for build-out projects, including labor, supplies, materials and other ancillary costs.
  • Maintain a daily job site log.
  • Coordinate all construction services and activities.
  • Maintain the schedule and budget; make changes as necessary to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Leading and managing the on-site construction crew.
  • Attending production meetings.
  • Constant communication with their Project Manager.
  • Ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Placing orders for materials and being responsible for equipment and materials on site.
  • Following the project timeline.
  • Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliances. Also maintaining a safety/ injury log for each project.
  • Maintain site cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Keep detailed records for site personnel.
  • Oversees all phases of project.
  • This position requires some exposure to the elements, i.e. inclement weather, extreme heat or cold, wind, etc.
  • This position requires little travel, mostly from jobsite to jobsite or jobsite to office.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Ambidextrous hand motions and ability to grip objects is a must.

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar field;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a construction superintendent or in a similar role
  • Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites
  • In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes

Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Procore, Sage Intacct, Bluebeam, etc.
