Job Summary
New System Restoration Inc. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Restoration Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the restoration industry, particularly in water damage restoration. IICRC Certification preferred in water and/or mold This role involves working on-site to restore properties affected by various types of damage, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. Wage will be determined by experience.
Duties
- Perform restoration tasks, including cleaning and repairing damaged structures and contents.
- Conduct water damage restoration services, including extraction, drying, and dehumidification processes.
- Perform demolition and removal of non-salvageable materials, such as drywall, flooring and insulation
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various restoration tasks.
- Clean carpets and upholstery as part of the restoration process.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality results.
- Document job details with photos and written logs to ensure accurate reporting and billing.
- Manage and monitor the drying process and adjust the plan as needed based on moisture readings.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all job sites.
- Maintain company vehicles and restoration equipment, ensuring they are clean and in proper working order.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines during all restoration activities.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the restoration industry is preferred.
- IICRC Certification is preferred in water and/or mold
- Knowledge of water damage restoration, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement techniques is highly desirable.
- Ability to pass a background check
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in construction and restoration work.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality results.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations on-site.
