Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Meliora Academy, you will work directly with students ages 3-22 with autism spectrum and related disorders to build skills, encourage independence, and promote meaningful progress. Using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and evidence-based strategies, you'll support students in reaching their individualized goals in a structured, supportive school environment.

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma or GED
• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
• Ability to foster a positive, professional school environment with patience and adaptability
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication

What You'll Do

• Be able to work Monday-Friday 8:00am-3:30pm
• Be able to work a 12 month calendar year
• Provide classroom support with academic tasks, social skills, daily living activities, and emotional regulation
• Monitor student progress by observing behavior and documenting data accurately
• Implement individualized behavior plans and ABA-based strategies
• Support student safety using approved de-escalation and intervention techniques
• Collaborate with teachers, BCBAs, therapists, and families to promote student success
