As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Meliora Academy, you will work directly with students ages 3–22 with autism spectrum and related disorders to build skills, encourage independence, and promote meaningful progress. Using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and evidence-based strategies, you’ll support students in reaching their individualized goals in a structured, supportive school environment.
What You’ll Need
As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Meliora Academy, you will work directly with students ages 3–22 with autism spectrum and related disorders to build skills, encourage independence, and promote meaningful progress. Using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and evidence-based strategies, you’ll support students in reaching their individualized goals in a structured, supportive school environment.
What You’ll Need
- High School Diploma or GED
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Ability to foster a positive, professional school environment with patience and adaptability
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication
- Be able to work Monday-Friday 8:00am-3:30pm
- Be able to work a 12 month calendar year
- Provide classroom support with academic tasks, social skills, daily living activities, and emotional regulation
- Monitor student progress by observing behavior and documenting data accurately
- Implement individualized behavior plans and ABA-based strategies
- Support student safety using approved de-escalation and intervention techniques
- Collaborate with teachers, BCBAs, therapists, and families to promote student success
