Background:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy equipment to facilitate
the movement of materials and products within our facility. This role requires a strong focus on
safety, efficiency, and accuracy in order fulfillment. The Forklift Operator will play a crucial part in
maintaining the flow of operations while adhering to OSHA regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, including Hi-Lo to move materials and products safely and efficiently.
- Perform heavy lifting and load/unload shipments as required.
- Utilize pallet jacks for transporting goods within the warehouse/production floor.
- Conduct order picking and ensure accurate shipping and receiving processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including OSHA standards.
- Assists with inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- High school degree or GED.
- Previous experience in heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Familiarity with basic math skills for inventory management and order fulfillment.
- Experience in shipping and receiving processes is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy loads consistently throughout the shift.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and SOPs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of relevant technical practices, warehousing practices and materials/goods.
- Overtime, Weekends as needed
- Forklift driving: 1 year (Required)
