Role Description
The Communications Coordinator is responsible for designing and developing internal applications, managing company communications, and supporting the branding and marketing efforts of New South Express. This role works across multiple platforms and departments to strengthen internal engagement, community presence, and external brand awareness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Include, but are not limited to):
- Create company statements and draft memos, announcements, and communications for internal and external audiences, including graphic design elements when appropriate
- Develop and implement innovative communication methods using modern technologies
- Communicate across multiple channels, including website, mobile app, social media, HRIS systems, email, and other platforms
- Manage social media for NSE Operations, including content creation, posting, engagement, and monitoring
- Develop and execute branding and marketing strategies to strengthen internal and external brand connections (designs, campaigns, schematics, etc.)
- Manage the NSE Operations website by developing relevant, current content and supporting design and functionality improvements
- Support recruiting efforts through creative advertising methods and targeted campaigns
- Create content and facilitate, support, and participate in business meetings
- Monitor processes and procedures to ensure effective and consistent communication practices
- Coordinate Associate Involvement Committees, including planning, budget support, activity coordination, and approval processes
- Plan and coordinate Corporate Associate Relations activities, including collaboration with external vendors as needed
- Coordinate company sponsorship opportunities to promote a positive community presence
- Complete reports accurately and on time; prepare presentations for all organizational levels as required
- Communicate policies and procedures clearly while serving as a role model for professional behavior
- Support and embody NSE key performance indicators (KPIs): Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, and Environment (SQCDME)
- Demonstrate Respect for the Individual in all interactions
- Maintain professional, positive, and open communication with all organizational levels and diverse groups
- Promote continuous improvement and innovation through PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) processes
- Demonstrate timely, informed decision-making using Gemba practices and data-driven analysis

- Support leadership with additional assignments as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and sustain trust with associates and stakeholders
Periodic Job Functions

Qualifications, Experience, and Education
- Education and/or experience in communications, marketing, business development, or a related field
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written communication and public speaking abilities
- Experience managing corporate social media accounts preferred
- Working knowledge of WordPress website functionality (novice level acceptable)
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds continuously
