RN-Peritoneal Dialysis
This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of patients managing their dialysis at home.
Position Responsibilities:
- Administer personalized dialysis treatments according to individual care plans.
- Monitor patient health during treatment sessions, observing for any signs of complications.
- Manage patient fluid levels to ensure optimal hydration and prevent fluid overload.
- Collect and analyze blood samples to track patient health during treatment.
- Educate and support patients emotionally and practically throughout their treatment.
- Conduct tests to evaluate kidney function, including creatinine clearance and urea reduction ratio.
- Maintain sterile procedures, especially when dealing with infectious diseases.
- Prepare patients for dialysis by ensuring cleanliness of the peritoneal cavity.
- Instruct patients on the importance of adhering to their treatment plan and maintaining a safe home environment.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment, supervising dialysis technicians effectively.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Current state license as a Registered Nurse.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of one-year nursing experience, with expertise in hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
- At least six months of general dialysis experience.
- Able to train new patients
- Willing to do home training as needed
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $44.00 - $48.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
