Bower is a California coastal restaurant opening at the Colorado Center in Santa Monica. Inspired by Australian café culture and Mediterranean flavors, Bower offers all-day dining in a relaxed, hospitality-driven environment rooted in community, quality, and genuine service.

As a Sous Chef at Bower, you'll support the Executive Chef in leading daily kitchen operations while ensuring exceptional food quality, consistency, and teamwork. You'll help oversee service, mentor the culinary team, and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen. This role is ideal for a strong leader who is passionate about hospitality, seasonal ingredients, and developing others.

• Support the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations and service.

• Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation meet Bower's standards.

• Lead, train, and mentor line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers.

• Assist with inventory, ordering, scheduling, and food cost management.

• Maintain prep lists, kitchen organization, and daily operations.

• Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.

• Collaborate with front-of-house leadership to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

• 2–4 years of kitchen leadership experience in a Sous Chef or similar role.

• Experience in a high-volume, chef-driven restaurant preferred.

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Knowledge of inventory management, food costing, and kitchen operations.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Food Handler Certification required (or ability to obtain one); ServSafe Manager Certification preferred.

• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• $33.00-$37.00/ Hour
