We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and customer-service driven Business Office Assistant to join our team. This role will serve as the first point of contact for all incoming calls and provide support to students, faculty, staff, and customers at the business office window. The ideal candidate will be responsible for answering all business office inquiries, processing tuition payments, handling revenue transactions, and maintaining a professional and welcoming environment.
Duties:
- Answer all incoming calls to the business office, directing calls to appropriate departments and assisting callers as needed.
- Process tuition payments and manage revenue streams coming into the College.
- Assist students, faculty, staff, and customers at the business office window by answering questions and providing necessary services.
- Manage and track financial transactions, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Provide administrative support and perform various office duties as needed.
- Handle general inquiries and assist with issues related to tuition, fees, and billing.
- Maintain a professional and positive demeanor when interacting with students, staff, and the public.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong familiarity with computers and general office technology.
- Previous office experience, especially in customer service or financial role.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- A positive attitude and willingness to assist others.
- Experience in a higher education setting or familiarity with college financial systems.
- Previous experience handling tuition payments or processing financial transactions.
