What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Staff position at New Pathways Preschool?
Job Overview
New Pathways is a preschool/childcare program that believes nutritious meals play an important role in a child's development. We are currently looking for an individual willing to help prepare meals and snacks Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 1:30 pm.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients to meet quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment through regular cleaning and sanitizing tasks
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure food safety and compliance with health regulations
- Provide children with a pleasant environment for meals and snacks
Experience
- Prior experience in food service environments is preferred but not required; we can provide necessary training
- Strong communication skills are essential for working effectively in our inclusive environment
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 per week
