What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pipefitter position at New Page Management?
Summary:
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Pipefitter to join our growing team in Greensboro, NC. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of piping layouts, blueprint reading, and a commitment to safety. You must be able to work in varying environmental conditions, including elevated positions, and collaborate effectively with team members. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install industrial heating and air process piping
- Read blueprints
- Cut, thread, and assemble piping
- Rig piping
- Instruct helpers under your supervision
- Prioritize all safety procedures
- Work independently
- Problem solve/troubleshoot when needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
- The employee must assemble hangers, supports, pipe joints, and install equipment in trenches and at heights using ladders, scaffolds, man-lifts, etc.
Qualification requirements:
- 5 years of experience in industrial construction industry preferred
- Hold license to operate equipment necessary for the role
- Basic rigging and valve maintenance preferred
- Has full knowledge of hand and power tools
- Ability to read and understand English
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and work for long periods of time
- Ability to work effectively in varying climate conditions
- Ability to safely perform tasks at both ground level and elevated heights using ladders, scaffolds, or aerial lifts
