American Industrial Services is seeking an experienced Electrical Sales Lead and Estimator to bid and sell commercial and industrial electrical projects. This role combines B2B Sales, estimation, and a deep technical background in electrical operations to ensure we win electrical projects that can be completed on schedule and within budget. The ideal candidate brings a proactive mindset, a commitment to delivering quality results, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prospect clients, build customer relationships, and identify opportunities
- Manage RFP responses and bid submission process
- Understand and document the electrical scope of potential projects
- Prepare estimates for electrical projects by performing take-offs and applying accurate labor and material costing
- Present and negotiate project proposals with customers, providing professional consultation on electrical solutions.
Qualification requirements:
- AS or BS in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 5 years of experience as an Estimator, Project Manager, Sales Engineer or Account Manager in the electrical industry
- Deep technical knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and construction practice
- Proficiency in estimation and project/construction management software (e.g., Procore, Building Connected, Bluebeam, Trimble)
- Experience with Estimating Electrical Projects up to $1M
- Unlimited Electrical License
