New Oxford Family Diner is a small-town, family-style diner looking for a dependable dishwasher to join our team. We are a busy, fast-paced restaurant, so we are looking for someone who can work efficiently, stay organized, and help keep the kitchen running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
- Keep the dish area clean and organized throughout the shift
- Empty trash and maintain cleanliness in assigned kitchen areas
- Assist with basic cleaning as needed
- Work closely with kitchen staff to keep up during busy meal periods
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Complete assigned closing and cleaning duties
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Weekend availability is required
- Evening/PM availability is required
- Reliable transportation is preferred
- Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team
- Must be comfortable working in a very busy, fast-paced kitchen environment
- Must be able to maintain a steady work pace throughout the entire shift
- Previous restaurant or dishwashing experience is preferred, but not required
- Must be able to stand and remain actively moving for extended periods
- Must be able to frequently bend, reach, carry items, and lift up to approximately 40 lbs.
- This is a physically active position that requires consistent movement throughout the shift
We are looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, and understands the importance of keeping a clean and organized kitchen. Because of the volume of our restaurant, applicants should be comfortable with a physically demanding position and working at a consistent pace during busy periods.
Both full-time and part-time opportunities may be available.
