Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in children.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and learning activities to ensure safety and engagement at all times.
- Foster a nurturing environment that encourages positive behavior and supports individual needs, including those with special education requirements or disabilities.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, daily routines, and any incidents or observations relevant to their development.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures and cleanliness standards.
- Collaborate with team members to create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes diversity and respect.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar caregiving roles is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices is essential.
- Experience with classroom management techniques that support positive behavior management is important.
- Familiarity with working with children with disabilities or special needs enhances your ability to provide inclusive care.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or infant/toddler care are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patience and professionalism.
