About Us
Metairie Ridge Daycare is a nurturing, play-based early childhood program serving children ages 6 weeks to 3 years old. We are looking for dedicated, positive teachers who have a genuine love for working with young children and thrive in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement activities provided by administration and create age-appropriate learning experiences
- Supervise children at all times (play, meals, nap) to ensure safety
- Diapering and assisting with toileting as needed
- Prepare and serve snacks and meals to children
- Foster a positive classroom environment using effective classroom and behavior management
- Communicate with parents about children’s progress, needs, and milestones
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom
- Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth
Qualifications
- Passion for early childhood education
- Patient, nurturing, and reliable
- Positive attitude with strong teamwork skills
- Good communication skills
- Growth mindset and willingness to learn
- Previous childcare experience preferred, but not required
