Seasonal, Non-Exempt, Non-Union Position (ending 8/21/26)

$17.28 per hour, 20-40 hours per week

BASIC FUNCTION OF SEASONAL EDUCATION AIDE:

Assist the center as a whole in providing temporary support for children when a regular staff member is absent. Provide a safe learning environment and implementing planned classroom activities to provide an educationally sound experience, which meets the individual needs of the children.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF SEASONAL EDUCATION AIDE:

  • Assist Teacher or Assistant Teacher in implementing activities.
  • Assist with some office duties when needed.
  • Operates personal computers and office machines.
  • Maintains a clean, safe and orderly physical environment.
  • Maintains classroom supplies and equipment.
  • Assists with serving meals and snacks.
  • Maintains records as needed.
  • Reports any health or behavioral problems to the Teacher.
  • Meets and greets parents/family members.
  • Fulfills Mandated Reporter responsibilities.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

 

REQUIREMENTS OF SEASONAL EDUCATION AIDE:

Education:

  • Must be 16 or older
  • HS Diploma or GED preferred

Experience:

Experience in an Early Childhood Program desired

Job Skills:

  • Able to obtain First Aid/CPR/Med Cert
  • Communication Skills
  • Ability to relate to children
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Interpersonal Skills
  • Knowledge of developmental needs of children
  • Bilingual preferred
