Seasonal, Non-Exempt, Non-Union Position (ending 8/21/26)
$17.28 per hour, 20-40 hours per week
BASIC FUNCTION OF SEASONAL EDUCATION AIDE:
Assist the center as a whole in providing temporary support for children when a regular staff member is absent. Provide a safe learning environment and implementing planned classroom activities to provide an educationally sound experience, which meets the individual needs of the children.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF SEASONAL EDUCATION AIDE:
- Assist Teacher or Assistant Teacher in implementing activities.
- Assist with some office duties when needed.
- Operates personal computers and office machines.
- Maintains a clean, safe and orderly physical environment.
- Maintains classroom supplies and equipment.
- Assists with serving meals and snacks.
- Maintains records as needed.
- Reports any health or behavioral problems to the Teacher.
- Meets and greets parents/family members.
- Fulfills Mandated Reporter responsibilities.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS OF SEASONAL EDUCATION AIDE:
Education:
- Must be 16 or older
- HS Diploma or GED preferred
Experience:
Experience in an Early Childhood Program desired
Job Skills:
- Able to obtain First Aid/CPR/Med Cert
- Communication Skills
- Ability to relate to children
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Interpersonal Skills
- Knowledge of developmental needs of children
- Bilingual preferred
