Part-Time, Non-Union, Non-Exempt Position
BASIC FUNCTION OF EDUCATION AIDE:
Assist the Teacher and Assistant Teacher in providing a safe learning environment and implementing planned classroom activities to provide an educationally sound experience, which meets the individual needs of the children.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF EDUCATION AIDE:
- Assist Teacher or Assistant Teacher in planning activities
- Carries out educational activities supporting individual children’s learning outcomes
- Supervises designated groups of children
- Maintains a clean, safe and orderly physical environment
- Reports any health or behavioral problems to the Teacher
- Supports parent involvement and engagement throughout ECD
- Fulfills Mandated Reporter responsibilities
- Other related duties as assigned
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS OF EDUCATION AIDE:
- H.S. or G.E.D. required
- Credits in ECE preferred
- 2 yrs related experience in an early childhood program desired
