CUSTODIAN Woodbury, CT Job Type Full-time, Part-time Description Custodian We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our facilities management team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to upholding high standards of cleanliness and safety. Key Responsibilities: Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas. Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used properly and maintained in good condition. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel. Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Assist with setting up and breaking down event spaces or special functions as needed. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishing. Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in custodial or janitorial work preferred. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks. Reliable, punctual, and able to follow safety guidelines. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Previous experience in natural/organic foods, grocery or retail preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age. Salary Description Starting at $17 per hour
