Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning of all designated areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Handle chemical agents safely and in accordance with established safety protocols to ensure effective sanitation without risk.
- Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial equipment to maintain high standards of cleanliness and floor care.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely when moving furniture, supplies, or cleaning materials.
- Maintain supplies inventory by monitoring stock levels and requesting replenishments as needed.
- Follow strict safety procedures during all custodial activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as residential painting or light repairs to uphold the facility’s appearance and functionality.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial or industrial cleaning environments with strong custodial skills.
- Knowledge of janitorial procedures, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment including floor buffers and other custodial tools efficiently.
- Excellent manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to interact professionally with staff and visitors.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as basic repairs or light painting is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
